Serving as the Senior Director for Corporate Communication and Citizenship, Katie Coldwell has the opportunity to help create Southwest’s corporate voice, educate and inspire Employees, and foster an outstanding reputation as a leading global Company. Katie also instills Southwest’s Corporate citizenship strategy throughout the organization with a focus on the triple-bottom line of performance, people and planet, surrounded by strong corporate governance.
In addition to her “day job”, Katie led the efforts for Southwest’s epic 50th Anniversary celebration in 2021. Flexibility was the name of the game as Southwest quickly adapted anniversary plans to fit a changing world, while embracing a spirit of celebration for this important Company milestone.
Katie graduated with a Marketing and International Business degree from Abilene Christian University. She’s worked at Southwest for more than two decades, aligning with the Company attributes of having a Warrior Spirit, a Servant’s Heart, and a Fun-LUVing Attitude.
Katie loves to travel, so it’s a good thing that she works for an airline! On her adventures, she’s visited all 50 states, 42 countries, and six continents. Katie gives back to the community by serving as President of the Board of Directors for Dry Bones Denver, a non-profit based in Denver, Colorado.
